Colin Sutton aka Flying Pig
Im Colin Sutton, 38 years old and living in West Yorkshire. The Flying Pig tag came from a nickname I got doing SPC rallycross at Lydden in the early 1980s. Something to do with my chosen profession, I guess. This mini is my 11th since 1977. I think Ive got pictures of most of them, and will soon try to get some more interesting ones on to my site: www.bigwig.net/flyingpig Ive done most things to (&in!) Minis over the years, but am shortly attempting my first respray, with fingers crossed. Ive been mostly in lurk mode on the list for a month or two now, and really enjoy the discussions. Ill try to take a more active part in future. |

I live in Brisbane Australia. Spent almost 18 months restoring my 69 Mini Cooper S. It goes hard and I love this little car but it eventually we all want more. Now meet my 74 Clubman powered by a 16 valve, twin cam, turbo charged, intercooled Suzuki GTi engine. Also a member of the Queensland Mini Owners Club. |

Here is a pic of me in my 1976 Clubman Van, during the 1997 Camp Quality Caper (http://www.campquality.org.au). I knew I didnt have a hope in hell of getting through so I gunned it and made a spectacular entry into the mud. I am based in Geelong, 80 km from Melbourne, Vic. Australia. I write articles on Australian Minis and Mokes for Mini Magazine and I produce the Australian Mini Calendar. When Im not doing that, or getting my Mini into embarising positions, Im playing in my 1981 Moke. My Moke had a wash once! |

Recently returned to the mini fold. I originally had a green clubby estate when I was a nipper, but progressed on to a Golf GTi. Impending marriage and increasing costs made me think about getting a mini again. Thus Cartman was bought in November 98 and has gradually been taking over since then. Ive just finished cutting out some rot at the rear end, including replacing the rear subframe and am quite pleased with my first efforts at welding. I doubt theyll be the last though ... |
